Engaging users beyond traditional task-based activities like booking and day-of-travel interactions is a common challenge in the airline industry. To address this, a game-based loyalty experience was designed with the goal of bringing users into the app during non-travel moments and introducing them to Riyadh Air’s broader offerings.
This idea establishes a foundation for a growing entertainment section aimed at building loyalty. It offers opportunities to expand the number of games and personalize the experience. Through fun and interactive activities, the goal is to connect Saudi Arabia with the world while fostering customer loyalty. Potential game concepts include a multi-trip scavenger hunt across cities for frequent business travelers, an AR game guiding children through the airport, or AR-enhanced versions of traditional regional games. These experiences not only provide enjoyment and education but also allow users to earn loyalty points that can be redeemed across Riyadh Air’s ecosystem and with its partners.
The initial games focus on showcasing Riyadh itself. One features a tabletop AR version of Carrom, appealing to both young and old, while another offers an interactive experience with 3D models of Riyadh Air’s aircraft and the city of Riyadh.
