I contributed to the design of the WEX app, an innovative solution for retail and grocery companies to enhance workforce management and store efficiency. This app leverages real-time data from in-store cameras to monitor high-traffic areas, enabling managers to reallocate staff where needed, such as at cash registers. It also streamlines task assignment for handling online orders, allowing managers to designate staff for pick and pack duties before customer pickups. Additionally, the app integrates with freezer sensor escalations, notifying staff to ensure food quality and safety. Through AI-driven features, managers can chat with Watson Orchestrate to arrange interviews or check staff availability, and with Watson Assistant to find product availability and manage restocking. The app also provides key store metrics, including sales performance, labor costs, and attrition risks, to help managers make data-driven decisions. This project focused on improving store operations and optimizing workforce efficiency through advanced AI and real-time monitoring.
